The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. These can be used to upgrade your armor, trinkets and weapons.
Item upgrades use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is meant to reduce odds of luck and offer a good safety net while upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader lets players upgrade the equipment level of their trinkets, armor and weapons. The upgrade is applied to gear when you visit an item upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency. The attributes of an item are improved when upgrading it.
This NPC can be located in every major city and is located in the city's corner square, near a teleporter point. The NPC is able to upgrade any weapon, armor or trinket, excluding those that require a quest, or crafting.
Note: The item you use to upgrade your gear will be destroyed forever. There are no multiple upgrades applied to one piece of equipment. Attempting to apply an upgrade using one already applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.
Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survivability and your overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that you acquired from the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at ilvl 385 and can be upgraded using [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available to all accounts. Upgrades to your PvP gear require an appropriate currency such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional pieces of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade for the equipment.
Weapons
Weapons are an important element of any successful character. They can be used to deter a murderous monster, kill an intruder, or win a shooting competition. They can also hang on the wall. Regardless of how you plan on using a particular weapon, you should be aware that it's possible to upgrade it and change depending on your style of play.
Upgrading weapons can be accomplished by visiting a blacksmith shop that has a Weapon Workbench available. Located in the right side of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a great option to upgrade your primary weapon. There is also a Smithing Master called Iji located in the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji enhances both weapons and armor.
As a rule upgrading an item will raise the level of its weapon by 5. However it is the case for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other special weaponry the item's level will rise by 15. Players can only have one upgrade in play at any one time. If you attempt to upgrade a weapon while another upgrade is in use it will fail and the weapon will be restored to its original level.
In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon, an upgrade will also grant it additional stats that can be used to increase its power. Some of these upgrades will be purely passive while others may provide increased damage, speedier attack and increased range, or a greater strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are given rewards when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Other upgrades can be added to weapons equipped with Whetblades which are rare items that can unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, the player is able to continue to upgrade it as long as they have the right upgrade materials and currency. Be aware that weapons are only able to reach the level of 25 and not higher. Therefore, players should only upgrade their weapons after they've accumulated the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
item upgrading can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded like other equipment by interacting with an item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, first you must take off any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with a red banner "Equiped" over his head.
When you select him, he will give you the option to upgrade your weapon or armor. You have to bring the currency and the items to the NPC. The NPC will then upgrade your gear by one level.
A trinket is a small and affordable piece of jewelry. In contrast to equipment that can be made at the smithing table to save resources, trinkets are not able to be made again. If you have multiple trinket upgrades in your inventory, the highest-valued upgrade will be retained, while the lower-level upgrade will be overwritten.
Each trinket has the ability to be upgraded beyond the basic upgrade. These can increase the effectiveness of the item, and might require more materials or skill to obtain. Some items can be obtained through interacting with an NPC during a quest. Others are available for drops from battlegrounds or dungeons.
The Item Upgrader NPC is available at various locations across the game world. These are shown on the map in the Locations tab. Some NPCs offer upgrades only for certain types of equipment while others can upgrade any item. Some NPCs offer additional perks to those who have completed their quests. For example the NPC in Shattering Rift offers a new toy when players take down the Ancient Beast, while the NPC in the Eastern Guard Tower provides players with access to a unique trinket.
Set Pieces
A set piece is a crucial scene that raises the film and is remembered by the audience long after credits have rolled. It can be a scene that is full of action, emotion, or even just a visual spectacle. Set pieces are a major component of cinema magic and must be carefully executed to achieve the desired effect. The Mission Impossible franchise is a perfect example of set pieces and how they create a lasting impact on the viewer.

Upgrading, also known as upping as it is commonly known, is the process of changing a normal unique, set, or rare item into an elite version of the same base item. This is done by purchasing a component upgrade through the upgrade menu and then incorporating it into the base item that has been upgraded.
This will unlock all the stats that were locked behind the base item's requirements, or a maxed-out version. The increased stats make the upgraded version more valuable than the base counterpart. The maximum defense rolls and upgrade requirements for each upgraded version can be found in the table below.
There are exceptions to the rule. For instance the item may have intrinsically high requirements that limit its use (take Whistan's shield in FB sorcs as an example) or when an item has a very low base stat, which can be upgraded to achieve an ideal or high roll, it will only be able to see limited usage and therefore gain minimal value.
