The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. They can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its maximum level for a given slot at a time. Then, upgrades to that slot will be less expensive. In addition the pity system that was introduced in The War Within lowers extreme chance of winning upgrades.
Upgrades
Upgrades are components that improve performance or add new features. Upgrades can be earned or purchased in a variety of ways like events in the game or cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available to specific items. Unlike enchantments which can be added to anything, upgrades can only be applied to the item they are attached to. A weapon that is already equipped cannot have an upgrade applied. Certain items can be upgraded more than once, providing a greater benefit to the user.
Upgrades are a relatively new mechanic introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows players to fuse additional improvements to equipment to increase its power, from simple boosts in strength to major damage and defense boosts. The upgrades are separated into tracks, and each has a limit on the amount of upgrades that can be completed. These limits are intended to prevent players from spamming low keystone dungeons for equipment and then upgrading it to the top.
Consumables, weapons, and armor are all upgradeable items. The majority of gear is upgraded when it is dropped. However, some items (such Ornn's equipment, or the baby Dracolich) are not upgradeable. Equipment can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade vendor, and combining it with an item in the correct upgrade slot. One can check how many upgrades a piece is equipped with by looking at its inventory icon, or by searching for that item in the shop.
The upgrade system has two major drawbacks. First, it can be difficult to tell what items are eligible for upgrade as upgrade vendors don’t always display all the upgrades available. The upgrade textures are rendered over the item model which can hide enchantment details as well as other details.
The other drawback is that upgrades can be costly. Every step in a gear's degree of improvement costs a specific amount of Valorstones or crests based on the slot and item level. Weapons typically require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than gloves or bracers for instance. There are however some cash shop items that can reduce the cost of upgrading.
Recycles
Many people are changing their purchasing habits as they become more conscious of the environmental impact of products that are only used once. Certain people are buying high-quality items that last longer or recycle their old gadgets to find solutions. Some are focusing on recycled items and looking for the most recycled content in their purchases. This trend will hopefully help reduce the amount of resources required to produce and extract new materials, as well as create an environment that is more sustainable.
item upgrading is an essential element of this process and it is now easier for consumers to find. Many items, including furniture and paper have a recycled component to them. This means they're made from reused or discarded material, and it's easy to purchase recycled items online or in stores. In addition to helping the environment they are also more affordable than their counterparts.
As an item progresses in it also receives bonuses in addition to its main stat gain. These bonuses are determined by its tier, and they vary from one type of bonus to the next. The ones who have higher tiers will get more bonuses than those with lower tiers.
As item upgrading from extraction of resources to recycling and reusing more companies are making promises to create greener products. A lot of them are focused on recycling materials and providing incentives to customers who recycle their products. In the future it's likely that we'll see more recycled products on the shelves and in stores as the demand for sustainable goods is increasing.
Rerolls
Rerolling is a vital tool in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. Rerolling allows players to play again for a weapon or character they wish to play or want to play, whether because it's attractive or they believe it would be a good fit for their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current wave in exchange for a tiny amount of materials. The prices of these weapons rise depending on the number of rerolls in a row, but certain items may not be offered at all (for instance weapons that are melee is not available to players who can only use ranged weapons).
When an item is levelled up it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These are based on the nature of the item it is. For example, an upgrade that boosts a weapon's main stat will also increase its additional stats. The extras will also change if the item rerolled.
When a player is in enough stamina to perform the reroll, they can hit a button that has the arrows that circle to swap their current item for a new one. The new item will come with the same level, but with it will come with a different set of bonuses, based on whether the old one was a gun, sword, watch or book.
Rerolling does not reset an item's bonus levels. However, a player might still require the minimum requirements to qualify for a special ability. This can make it difficult to get an item with the bonus they desire however it allows them to try for another alternative in the future, without having to invest more resources.
The process of upgrading an item doesn't just increase the value of its bonuses, but it will also give the item a tier boost and, consequently, it's guaranteed to gain a certain amount of bonus stats when upgraded in the future. It is crucial to only upgrade your gear as much as you can, as further upgrades will not make a difference.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which share a common characteristic. They are often used in math and can be represented as . Sets have many important properties, including the associative property and the commutative property. These properties are crucial to understand how sets function and can be used in real-world applications.
In the game, items can be upgraded by sets of items to gain additional bonuses. A set of armor pieces can increase the protection of the armour while weapons can provide an additional damage base. These additional stats are applied following the base stats of the item, and prior to the flats and percentages. These additional stats could be a good way to add value to an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the previous base stat with the new stat. For instance, a weapon that had 20 base damage would now have 40 base damage. It will also preserve the previous armor value and upgrade requirements. This is a great way to get an item of the highest quality at an affordable price.

Upgrades to exclusive items can be extremely profitable, especially when the item is equipped with an interesting mod. A rare belt with a +5 IAS, for example, could have a major impact on the strength of a build especially in early hell. It's also a great way to enhance the value of an item by injecting a high or perfect roll.
Upgraders for items differ for set, unique and rare items. Typically, the item will be upgraded to its new type of base after it is upgraded to level 10. A unique upgrade of an armor item that has the highest defense will result in a similar base type for an elite armor item. This isn't a guarantee, and in some instances, an upgrade will not alter the type of item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best in Slot) before moving on to non-BiS, items. This will ensure that the player has an excellent foundation to build on when they level up, and they can concentrate on boosting their tiers and gaining extra stats.
