World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be accomplished by any upgrader of items NPC.

Generally, upgrades boost an item's main stats and provide extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key factor in keeping him safe from danger. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defense capabilities in different ways.
Armour is designed to safeguard animals or people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or from a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, most armour was made from fabrics or leather, however metal protections were also used particularly for military purposes like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour however the majority require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades, with more granting greater levels of protection, and require a higher price in rupees and materials to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been put in place they aren't able to be removed until you own a different piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the most powerful upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have all the components needed to complete them.
In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule such as shrines, merchants as well as enemies. They are typically marked by the blue triangle or gold circle and can be found in great numbers as you progress through. They could appear randomly, but there is a chance that getting certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It is important to remember that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may vary, it will always be more than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that can protect you from all types of attacks, except magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for all classes.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them truly unique. These can increase damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build, and even unlock new attachments such as unique enchantments, ammo types and other options for aesthetics.
To upgrade a weapon you'll require an upgrade component ready as well as the item itself. The weapon must be at or near a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade.
There are weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the globe and from the hands of enemies or purchased from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of components that can be put into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or additional effect when they are in use. The equipment must be a certain level to accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used to improve the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be purchased from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's crucial to prioritize upgrading your best-in-slot items first, followed by the ones you won't replace in the near future. If you're planning to play in a melee-based build, for example upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders followed by your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, based on the style you play, certain specific items are more useful than others. Armour is no different, with some Reforges being better than others.
item upgrade can upgrade only one item of magic at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled and the next upgrade for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but can provide additional benefits.
A magical item is any item that has special properties or effects. These items are mostly weapons, but they can also be armors, shields or cloaks as well as potions. They could also be scrolls, rings or other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
Many magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. item upgrade can make them more useful to a player or help them overcome a difficult encounter. An infused weapon might provide an additional amount of damage to a specific kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly useful for characters that have reached a stage at which they will likely face the same kind of monster repeatedly in dungeons.
A ring with an infusion could grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or anyone who wants to stay clear of buying an armor.
Some enchanted items have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is a great benefit for characters that have difficulty filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted items typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use, and the spell is determined by rolling an array of tables based on the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other enchanted items might allow the player to change their appearance, or create a completely new one. They can be especially useful for characters who have had to leave their homes, or who are in a situation where they may not be welcome. A magical item could give them an invisible effect, or make them invisible to everyone except a chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are anything that doesn't fall under the categories of Clothing or Armor and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. The majority of utility items have an effect that the player can activate by using them but some have additional abilities that activate when the user presses the button or activates the ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other useful items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in all directions when on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of useful items, while others are unlocked by Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the normal inventory, players can unlock additional useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow more effective use.
Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or provide the player with some sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase Concentration and Healing Power. Other utility items can be used by the player to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single accessory item to start the campaign. A second slot is available once you have completed certain research, engineering or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are made available by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows players to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade is placed in the main slot for grenades.
